At the Health Tech Summit, renowned experts gathered to discuss and share insights on the latest

At the end of last week, the Health Tech Summit concluded with Dr. Catalina Parada, COO of AXON
Marketing and Communications, playing a crucial role as the moderator of the panel discussion titled
“Challenges in Insurance and Social Security in Colombia and the Region”. The panel brought together
experts from the medical and technological industries to discuss and share insights on the latest
technologies and medical practices. The summit saw the participation of 150 attendees and featured nine
conferences, two panels, and two question-and-answer sessions. The 27 speakers addressed highly
important topics in the healthcare sector.
On Thursday, June 29th, various relevant subjects were discussed, including the perspectives and
challenges of Digital Health in Colombia and the region, advanced telemedicine and remote patient
monitoring as the future of healthcare, best practices in oncology and placing the patient at the center to

optimize access to healthcare, key steps to advance interoperability in the healthcare sector, utilizing
cloud healthcare to improve patient care, challenges in insurance and social security in Colombia and the
region, the certification and accreditation program for Digital Medicine in Latin America, digital
transformation as a cornerstone for clinical, operational, and financial efficiency in healthcare, and
expanding access and quality in healthcare systems through Digital Health.
On Friday, June 30th, the event concluded with a workshop conducted by Brazil’s Hospital Israelita Albert
Einstein, focusing on best management practices in maintaining hospital infrastructure and the impact of
the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) journey: co-creating the sustainable future we want.
The Health Tech Summit provided a unique opportunity for healthcare and technology professionals to
share knowledge and experiences, opening up new perspectives and possibilities to improve healthcare
