AXON Marketing & Communications and Hub UDEP drive entrepreneurial growth in Peru.
AXON Marketing & Communications successfully supported the XIV Investment Forum organized by the
Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub UDEP in partnership with PAD – Escuela de Alta
Dirección de la Universidad de Piura. AXON provided public relations services and media coverage to
ensure the event’s dissemination and success. Over 120 startups secured investments totaling $6 million
during the forum, highlighting the potential of Peruvian startups.
As an incubator for business ventures at the University of Piura, Hub UDEP has supported the
development of over 120 startups to date, fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology in the
Piura region. Their work has been recognized by David Morán, Accelerator Manager, who stated, “The
support and guidance provided by incubators make a difference, with a success rate of 70-80% after the
initial launch”.
The significance of these investment forums is reflected in their economic impact. With 13 editions
conducted through the PAD Angel Investors Network, more than 130 potential investors have
participated. These investment forums have enabled over 10 startups to secure funds exceeding $2.7
million, contributing to the country’s economy and fostering connections between Latin American startups and the Peruvian market.
The event brought together investors, entrepreneurs, and the Angel Investors Network, providing valuable opportunities for entrepreneurs to present their innovative projects. The impact of these investment forums is undeniable, positioning Peru as a catalyst for initiatives to drive entrepreneurship in Latin America.
The success of Hub UDEP extends beyond Peruvian borders. Since 2022, they have worked with over 30
startups from the acceleration program and the prestigious Startup Peru program, with the support of
ProInnóvate from the Ministry of Production. Thanks to this support, startups from more than seven Latin
American countries, including Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, and Uruguay, have been able to
establish operations in the Peruvian market.
This Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will continue to support startups on their path to success, providing resources, financing, and guidance as they strive to achieve their goals.
